Dear Scout,

Here are some pictures of a Blue Marlin caught 5/23/06 on my new Scout 282 Sportfish. What a fish! What a boat! Last week we had one in the baits as well. This boat raises the fish. We hooked this one at 9am. She put on a show, jumping clear out of the water at least 20 times. Then she sounded and we were locked in for what turned out to be a 3 hr battle on 50lb stand up gear. The boat manuvered perfectly, backing down, spinning, and chasing this beast. We got her to the surface, but unfortunately she was already dead. We then had to figure out how to get her in the boat: the wave gate of course! It is not only a wave gate and stern seat, but a Marlin door as well. Thanks for building a great fishing machine.
