Dear Scout,

This was the 11th summer for our Scout 172 Sportfish. It still has all the original equipment, 115 Yamaha engine, bimini top, ski bar, pedestal chairs and Gator trailer. It has been a great ski boat, creek boat, jetties boat and offshore boat. It has met all my expectations and is the best built boat in the 17ft range. As you can tell by this photo it still looks brand new and has only been used in salt water. At the time of purchase most 17ft models had 90hp motors which were ok but I found the 115hp was better for towing water skiers. With it’s shallow running depth and the 115 that will troll @500-600 rpm it’s great for the creeks and trolling. My boat has even been used as a demo for a lot of potential Scout customers.
