Dear Scout Boats,

Just a note to let you know how our 145 Scout that we purchased from Camano Marine on Camano Island Washington is working out. We left Washington State in May for an extended vacation in Alaska. We made the whole trip by boat and have traveled more than 1200 nautical miles since we left home.

Our Scout has spent most of those miles on a painter behind our larger boat. The Scout is lighter and tows much better than our previous dinghy. It also tracks very well. Our previous boat had to be towed with the outboard down (in the water) to keep it from whiplashing side to side.

Our Scout has performed impeccably on this trip and has turned many heads. Several Alaskan guides have made comments on the boat’s performance and handling in the unpredictable waters. We have also turned down more than one offer buy it. (all from people with hard bottom inflatable’s) It’s not for sale! The boat is an excellent fishing machine for these waters and we have taken many trophy sized fish from it.

Keep up the good work,

Bill Phillips
