Customer Chronicles

Tarpon

After much time researching many boats, I decided to start my charter business with a Scout Boat back in 1997. It is Scout’s remarkable high standards for impeccable quality, durability and usability that convinced me this would be the boat which would give my customers the ultimate fishing experience. My journey began with a 192 Sportfish, then a 192 Sportfish small console model in 2000, and in 2001, I purchased a 240 Bay Scout. I have been completely satisfied, as each boat has exceeded my expectations in every aspect of what a fishing vessel should give each and every client.

Everyday my clients and I enjoy the dependability, safety, and strength of our Scout Boat. We hit the flats hard and even harder offshore! One of my best catches was landed in the 192 Sportish, a 191-pound Tarpon which turned out to be the winning catch of the 1997 Tarpon Roundup. Indeed, this was the christening experience aboard my first Scout! Today, my first Scout boat is still in the family; my dad Captain Gerald Goodwin fishes it! I continually have happy clients from the very young to the very young at heart landing everything from ladyfish, trout, redfish, snook, cobia, and tarpon among others year round. The Scout experience for me and my clients has been nothing but total fulfillment and great times.

Thanks for making awesome fishing boats that help create special fishing memories!!

Sincerely,

Capt Bob Goodwin
