Scout fishing boats have earned a reputation for being on the cutting edge of design and quality. Through more than two decades of building award winning sport fishing boats, Scout has learned what works and what doesn't. One of the first major innovations that Scout introduced with its center console boats was the reverse-shoebox hull/deck design. Which increased the overall strength of the hull and made it safer at the same time. Another great innovation that Scout helped pioneer was the eradication of all wood in boat construction. Wood rots, that's why from the very beginning, Scout fishing boats have been made with composite stringers and transoms. Yet another great innovation unique to Scout fishing boats is the Air-Assist hull. The Air-Assist hull increases static floatation, decreases time to plane, vastly improves overall handling, and even improves fuel economy. Scout is continually developing new and innovative construction methods for its sport fishing boats such as the "Scout Strata-Mount" system, a feature that allows the natural stresses of the engines to be spread out over the entire hull. Increasing strength, durability, and performance. Thanks for visiting our site and we hope you'll consider a Scout for your next sport fishing boat.
The past few years have been a busy time for Scout Boats. They've weathered the recession, stuck to their mission and continue to innovate and produce world-class center console and sport fishing boats. Here's what's gone on in recent months:
First came the launch of the 225 Dorado for 2012. The 225 Dorado is a luxury dual console boat capable of seating 10 adults. The model features Scout's Nu-V3 high performance, fuel-saving hull design and is geared towards owners looking to use their boats for both fishing and family fun. The versatility of this Scout design makes it the ideal option for a boater equally concerned with angling and recreational cruising.
Later in 2012, Scout Boats had six of its dealers rated among Boating Industry Magazine's Top 100 Dealers, a remarkable achievement for a boat manufacturer that relies on its dealership network to deliver superior customer service.Legendary Marine out of Destin, FL took home the year's top overall prize, while five other Scout dealers throughout the nation were recognized among the top 100:
· Hall Marine Group (Lake Wylie, SC)
· Parks Marina (Okoboji, IA)
· Quality Boats of Clearwater (Clearwater, FL)
· South Shore Marine Service (Huron, OH)
· Vincent Payment Marine, Ltd (Point Au Baril, Ontario)
Scout recently added eight new dealers to its roster, including two international dealers and four Marine Max dealers, so it looks to add even more dealers to Boating Industry Magazine's Top 100 Dealers in the next publication.
For 2013, Scout has released its new 195 Sportfish, a world-class center console sportfishing model measuring 19' and built on the high-performance NuV3 hull design. The new model combines the best in comfort, style and performance to bring fishing enthusiasts a vessel they can enjoy in a variety of marine pursuits for years to come.
Scout also recently unveiled the all-new 320 LXF. This forward seating center console model offers the performance of a high-end fishing boat and the luxury of high-end cruiser. The 320 LXF's disposition as a hybrid fishing boat and luxury cruiser allows it to boast amenities generally reserved for larger sportfishing boats.
So far in 2013, Scout has released the 350 LXF, an improvement on the remarkably popular 345 XSF. The 350 LXF offers Scout's first triple engine configuration, which consists of three Yamaha F300s. The three-engines put out a combined 900 horsepower and allow for top speeds in the mid to high 60s. The 350 LXF also adds Scout Dual Stepped Hull Technology, which fosters higher performance and increased fuel economy for the powerful model.
Through 2013 and 2014, Scout looks to continue its role as a leader in innovation for luxury center console boats and world-class sport fishing boats. Stay tuned for future updates.
